Well as perfect days go today is not bad. I am at home. The sun is shining, the sky is blue. DH is at home. Doing a bit of pottering in the garden. Sat and had coffee on the patio with the fountain tinkling in the background. The birds are singing and it is all very peaceful.

The car is mended, I saw 3 of the GC yesterday so had my granny fix. Been surfing the net and catching up with my 365er friends - hopefully do a bit of scrapping later.

My perfect day would have to be in a beach house though by a white sandy beach with a wooden veranda where I would sit with DH and have breakfast of fresh fruit salad, scrambled egg and bacon and coffee. The sun would be shining and the sky blue and the temperature would be just right - not too hot and not too cold. I would then walk along the dunes at the back of the house and have a swim in the sparkling blue sea which would be just the right temperature and no seaweed. I would then sit and read for a bit. Lunch again would be served on the verandah. It would be shaded by climbing plants and I would eat a chicken salad and drink a long glass of fruit juice followed by strawberries.

In the afternoon all the children and grandchildren would come to visit. We would play games on the beach and swim. Everyone would be happy and perfectly behaved. There would be no other people on our beach.

In the evening we would light a fire and have a barbeque with jacket potatoes cooked in the embers and watch the sunset. There would be no mosquitoes or gnats or midges.

After all visitors had gone we would curl up on the comfy couch and watch a comedy DVD before going to bed to the gentle sound of surf on the beach.
