LSN 10,11 and 12

Day 10
Went to the Mall to meet up with DD1 and GC5. The sun came out so we popped into the playground for lunch. Unfortunately had to take a pic into the sun so didn't come out too well. Day 11
Picked the blackberries on our thornless bush given to me as a cutting by a friend.

Day12

Bought some new wellies today. Gave my old ones to DD2 a couple of years ago and only just got round to buying a new pair.

LSN 8 and 9

8th sep
Walked into town through the park. Weather damp and dreary but the ducks seemed happy enough.

9th sep
Nipped out for a quick walk round the block in between showers and was surprised to see a lot of colour still in the hedgerow. Absolutely no idea what this is but it looked very pretty.

day 6 and 7 LSN

Day 6
Visited my parents today and they love this orchid. I bought it for my Mum 2 years ago and they are amazed that it has had some sort of flower on it every day. Am glad that it has given them so much pleasure.

Day 7
Our prompt today was about other people showing us how to learn something and I was inspired today by watching the paralympics.

Day 252

Cinderella

Felt a bit like cinders today as I got stuck into some housework. Did try and get a pumpkin but none to be had in Tesco's. Obviously not the time for them yet. Shame - could have done with some pumpkin soup. Definitely cold enough for it.

day 251

Thumbelina
Being vertically challenged I have often felt like Thumbelina.

LSN

Day 4
Bought some straws as T had his tooth operation today and I wasn't sure how well he would be able to drink afterwards. Didn't realise they came in such lovely colours.
Day 5
Found these today - chopped tomatoes with garlic already in so thought I would save myself some time.

day 249 & 250

249
the princess and the pea

Just checking for peas!

LSN

My 3rd LO for LSN shows me digging out a poor viburnum that is absolutely riddled with fly. Have therefore decided it will have to go and I will put a hebe in its place. Had to get DH to help me but unfortunately I got a lot of sun glare on those photos. Yes we did get a GLIMPSE of the sun that day.

day248

Little Red Riding Hood

learn something new

Doing this class for the 3rd year. It is run by Shimelle at shimelle.com.

Here is day 1 and 2
This was the day I lost my glasses whilst riding my bike.
This day I managed to spend a little while in the garden whilst the sun was shining. Haven't seen much of it this year so was topping up the vitamin D levels.

day 247

Snow white and the seven dwarfs

No apples in our house today and no dwarfs either although could have done with them to do the housework - so had to make do with altering a picture. Used the negative filter.

day 245

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined.”
—Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862); philosopher, writer, naturalist

Can't really remember what dreams I had as a child although reading Kath's blog reminds me that I did want to be a ballerina but I didn't start dancing til much too late. I also wanted a cottage with roses round the door but as you can see there are no roses round my door either. Don't think I want them either . Too tricky keeping the black spot at bay. I also dreamed of being a wife and mother so that part came true.

day 244

"Peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. Peace means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart.”
