The only contribution I have made today in getting ready for Christmas is to punch out some shapes on the Big Shot ready for making the Christmas cards.

Not seeing any "mates" today so had to make do with the china. Not an old plate but one we bought fairly recently in Zurich - either in Migros or the Coop. Basically these are the only 2 supermarkets of any note.
I remember buying our very first set of china in Bristol market . It was being shown in a wicker basket. Can't remember if it was a 4 or 6 place setting but it had 3 sizes of plates which we found most useful as well as bowls and cups and saucers. We used it for years. Don't think I have any left now. It had lovely bright orange flowers round the edge!!!!! Well it was the early 70's. I remember it cost 4 pounds.

Used to hear this a lot as a child. Perhaps because we lived near London. Of course in those days it was an old 1d. 12 to the shilling.
