Decided not to put the photo I have done on here as it is not particularly flattering and it was the best of the bunch. So here is a pic I took yesterday of me at the computer in our flat
Woke up to grey skies this morning and after an hour or two on the computer went out to do the recycling. It is obviously a Saturday morning job as we weren't alone. It is really just a bottle, tin and battery bank but it is well used. We have to pay for special rubbish bags here at about 90 pence a bag so you recycle as much as possible. All plastic bottles are flattened and go back to the shop as do special milk bottles and cartons. We also have paper and cardboard recycling vans fortnightly.
Walked along the river to the supermarket. It is very low at the moment but as soon as the snow starts to melt it will become a torrent. We saw some snowdrops that are very nearly in bud and the tiny primulas that grow in peoples lawns just starting to come out. Not enough for a photo yet.
Got the tram back and made leek and potato soup for lunch. It is a veggie day so we are having pumpkin and bean spaghetti for dinner.
